Zach Peters

I'm Zach Peters from Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois in 2008. I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications and a Spanish minor. I decided to come to España to improve my Spanish language skills. I had never taught a class until the day I began here in Málaga. The students have made a big impact on my life, and I will be returning to the United States to persue a career in education. I never thought I would ever want to become a teacher, but working with these students has shown me what an impact a teacher can have on students, and the positive effect a teacher can have on students.

Since my time here in Spain is coming to an end, I am excited to return to the United States, but I will also miss everyone I have met here in Spain. I have learned about a lot about Spanish culture, language, and malagueñans. I think Málaga is a beautiful city, and I enjoyed spending my time walking the streets getting to know it.

To the next auxiliary: I find it best to just relate to the students, they are great kids, and once you relate to them, they´ll never stop talking. Also, if you have a break, I frequently visited the Dímas Café down the street, they have great pitufo mixtos and cafe con leche and it also gives you some time to get plans together etc...

This truely has been a great experience, and best of luck to everyone!
